Plain paper plates in a soft silver grey with a rolled rim. Worth being clear about the colour: the till calls these pastel blue, but the plate is a true neutral grey with no blue in it, so treat it as a silver.

Seven inches, 30 to a pack. Grey is the plate that lets a patterned napkin do the work, and it sits under anything from black and gold to blush and rose gold.
