Party Boutiques Guide
Walk into any celebration and the first thing you feel is the balloons. A cluster floating over the cake table, a number balloon marking the year, a garland running the length of a backdrop - they set the tone before anyone says a word. We keep over 2,300 balloons in stock at 7724 Yonge St, priced from $0.49 to $39.99, which means most of what you need is on the shelf the day you walk in rather than a week out on order.
The depth is in foil. Mylar is the biggest part of the range at more than 1,300 designs, followed by supershapes, and separate walls of number and letter balloons for milestone birthdays and anniversaries. Foil holds helium far better than latex, often floating for five to seven days, which is why it carries centrepieces, number displays and anything that has to still look right the morning after. Latex, clear and bubble balloons round the range out for garlands, confetti fills and colour volume.
If you are building an arch or garland, the professional look comes from mixing sizes rather than buying more of one thing. Two or three anchor colours in a blend of 11 inch and 5 inch latex, a neutral to break it up, and a few foil shapes for structure will read as designed rather than assembled. Our team can walk the aisles with you and work out quantities against your actual backdrop length, which is faster than guessing from a photo.
Use latex for volume and colour variety; foil for floating centrepieces and displays that need to last all day or longer.
A standard balloon arch needs roughly 12 balloons per linear foot. For table clusters, 3–5 per table is a solid starting point.
Helium-filled balloons float 8–12 hours (latex) or several days (foil). Air-filled balloons can be set up days ahead and won't droop.
Start with 2–3 anchor colours from your theme, then add a neutral (white, gold, or clear) to balance the palette without overwhelming it.
Party Boutiques is at 7724 Yonge St in Thornhill, just north of Steeles, with over 2,300 balloons in stock and free parking at the door. We are open seven days a week and serve Toronto, Vaughan, Richmond Hill and Markham. Most customers find it faster to come in and pick colours against the actual product than to match shades from a screen.
A foil balloon sealed properly and filled with quality helium floats for five to seven days, sometimes longer. An 11 inch latex balloon floats 8 to 12 hours on helium alone, which is why latex is usually inflated the morning of the event. Hi-Float sealant applied inside a latex balloon before inflation extends that to 25 hours or more.
Budget roughly 12 balloons per linear foot for a full organic garland. An 8 foot garland over a doorway needs about 100 balloons, and a 16 foot backdrop run needs closer to 200. Mix 11 inch and 5 inch sizes in two or three anchor colours plus a neutral, and add a few foil shapes for structure.

Yes. Air filled latex holds its shape for several days to a couple of weeks indoors because air does not escape the way helium does. That is why arches and garlands are built air filled on a decorating strip rather than floated, and it means you can build the night before with no risk of drooping.
Foil, also called mylar, has a metallic finish, sharp printed graphics and a self sealing valve, and it holds helium for days. Latex is cheaper, biodegradable, comes in a wider range of shades and is the right choice when you need volume for a garland. Our range runs deeper on foil, with more than 1,300 mylar designs plus dedicated number, letter and supershape ranges.
